Structural assessment and performance evaluation of naval pier infrastructure.
Location: Izmir Shipyard Command, İzmir – Türkiye
Structural analyses and technical evaluation studies were conducted to investigate the settlement and sliding behavior of the Burak Pier and the helicopter landing platform located within the responsibility area of the Izmir Shipyard Command.
The pier is situated behind the shipyard facilities and forms part of the naval coastal infrastructure under the authority of the Command.
As a result of the studies, structural performance assessments of the existing facilities were carried out in accordance with current engineering standards and relevant technical literature.
Engineering improvement and rehabilitation recommendations were developed for the structures identified as deficient, aiming to enhance stability, safety and long-term service performance.
